There will be a math test on Thursday MAY 10th. It will ONLY be on area and perimeter. The weeks remaining of school will be weekly quizzes of the years topics for review.
Thank you! A message from Ms Morrell:
Arbre Généalogique (Family Tree and 10 sentences) due MONDAY, APRIL 16th Also please see the blog under "Homework" for the math homework for this week:) Thank you Dear parents,
In anticipation of next weeks Celebration of Learning students are gathering their information and working on planning their visuals. Some students are using poster paper available in class while others are choosing to purchase try-folds. If you are searching for a trip-fold, Artryan Gallery & Framing across the way from VTT on King Edward Avenue have them for around $8! Students will be given time in class on Monday to work on their poster boards/tri-folds or any other presentation visual they chose to create. Also a friendly reminder for students to do their best when dressing up. We are in no way asking parents to purchase items. http://artryan.com/contact.htm Thank you! Jessie Due to the many students absent (cold/flu) I have moved todays math test to Tuesday March 13th.
The test will cover (as usual;) 1. Adding and subtracting 2. Multiplication 3. Division 4. Place Value/decimals 5. Simplifying fractions and GCF (Greatest common factor) NEW Wow grade 5! Look at all the concepts we have learned this year! Having tests that add new concepts every two weeks has been an excellent chance for students to continually develop and remember the math concepts and to be tested on new concepts:) Reminder- there will be no science test as students are working on an in-class project on the respiratory system:) This weeks math test will be on Thursday. The test will cover (as usual;)
