Dear Grade 4 Families,
On Thursday, November 6th, there will be a cumulative math test on the concepts covered so far in class. These concepts are: adding and subtracting, place value, rounding, patterns, and equations with a missing number. To prepare for this test, I encourage students to complete the mini tests found on the website below. This website complements our MathFocus program and serves as a great study tool. Please only focus on the following Chapters and Lessons: Chapter 1: Lessons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 Chapter 2: Lessons 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 Chapter 4: Lessons 3, 4, 7 http://www.mathk8.nelson.com/math4/studentcentre/studtryout.html#ch1 Dear Parents,
This is a friendly reminder to bring in a comfort kit for your child if you have not already done so. This applies largely to new families. You may give them to Moran in the office. Thank you! On October 22nd there will be a test on the seven continents and four oceans. To prepare for this test, students may listen to the rap song and play the games linked below.
Thank you! http://lizardpoint.com/geography/world-quiz.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCW-dJyBrog http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/World_Continents.htm http://mrnussbaum.com/continents-and-oceans-game/ Please take a few minutes to explore the wonderful world of Learning in Depth and Imaginative Education with Professor Kieran Egan. Students are excited to work on the learning logs and have began to explore areas of interest! A friendly reminder that learning logs are done at a students own pace:)
