Today the students were put to the test with this popular challenge. They worked collaboratively to answer as many questions as they could. Here is the challenge below if you'd like to try! Ask you child for the answers :)
1. How many tourists are staying at this camp?
2. When did they arrive: today or a few days ago?
3. How did they get here?
4. Is there a town nearby?
5. Where does the wind blow from: north or south?
6. What time of day is it?
7. Where did Alex go?
8. Who was on duty yesterday?
9. What date is it today?
For the past few months we have been working through the multiplication portion of the curriculum. As we prepare to move into division (including long division), it is necessary for all students to know the times tables to 12X12. Please ensure that your child knows the facts by quizzing them frequently. Below are a list of links for extra practice. Alternatively, flash cards work very well.
The next Caribou Math contest will be held on Wednesday April 6th, in the Learning Commons at Lunch hour.
The interactive question will be Tower of Hanoi which students can practice now on the games page.
