We will be having a class party to celebrate all of our hard work. The party will take place Friday morning in my class and students are asked to bring in snacks and/or drinks.
VTT is a healthy school so I therefore ask for healthy snacks only. Additionally, we would like to make it a "no waste" party so students must bring in a plate and cup from home. Some ideas for snacks are: pre-cut veggies and dip, fruit, cheese and crackers, yogurt, seaweed, pretzels, veggie straws, dried fruit, and popcorn. Please try to send all food in reusable containers or with as little packaging as possible. Thanks in advance!

Dear Grade Four families,
We have a great opportunity to take all grade four students to see the play “The Wizard of Oz” at Gateway Theatre in Richmond on December 16th at 10:30. As some of you may know, grade four is learning the Hebrew version הקוסם מארץ עוץ in Hebrew class. In addition, the grade four “Israeli Theater” club is rehearsing the play and are going to perform it at the end of February to parents and grades K-3 (exact dates will be provided once we are ready). Our school has been very generous and students are required to pay only $5 to attend the performance. As we are reserving our seats in the next few days we are asking you to let us know ASAP if your child will not be attending. After the play, grade four students and teachers are invited to a kosher Israeli lunch at Shoshi’s house so no need to send a lunch on the 16th. The lunch will be nut free and a gluten free option will be available as well. We will be leaving the school at 9:30 a.m. sharp and will return at around 2:00 p.m. Please send payment of $5 to school by Friday December 12th. The envelope should be addressed to Shoshi. We wish all of you a Happy Hanukkah and may your lights shine brighter than ever! Jessie, Tamsin and Shosh |
