Please complete the review package for homework. Students have been given class time to start and review this package. The package is due WEDNESDAY MAY 10th.
On Thursday May 11th students will have a math quiz on the following areas which are reviewed in the package. 1. Writing fractions as decimals 2. Simplifying fractions/ equivalent fractions 3. Adding and subtracting fractions 4. Adding with regrouping 5. Subtraction with borrowing 6. Division with remainders 7. 3 by 1 digit multiplication Every week until the end of the year students will be having a math quiz on these areas and other areas for a full review of the key topics for the year. Each area will have 2-3 questions on the quiz. 2. Please sign and return the quiz from this week by MONDAY MAY 8th. 3. Next weeks focus for science will be on the rock cycle. Please see the file above for the handout given out today. There will be a quiz on Thursday May 4th for Math and Science. This week we are viewing one of Quebec's most well-known children's movies called "La guerre des tuques" (which translates roughly to "The War of the Toques"). While the original was produced in 1984, this famous story of an epic snowball war between two groups of children was remade in 2015. We will be watching parts in English and other parts in French. For those who are interested in watching at home, the English version is called "Snowtime" and is available on iTunes.
Here are a few photos that were taken during our trip to Victoria. Many students took pictures as well. Feel free to send me a few good photos and I can post them here.

Pi day is coming! Pi day is coming! On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, Pi Day will be happening at VTT! Please go to this link talmudtorah.com/pi-day to sign up. You must sign up in advance so we know how many pies to order! The preliminary round will take place at first recess in room 280 (Mrs Fisher’s room - the Science lab) and the finals will happen at lunch.
